Restoring an awkward TVR Cerbera, designing open-source digital car gauges, shipping iOS apps, prototyping smart-home hardware, and giving away free browser tools for other hobbyists.
The headline projects. Each one has a YouTube story attached, a build log, and (mostly) source code.
Bought rough, rebuilt on camera. AJP V8, fuel lines, suspension, custom 3D-printed bushes, quad-headlamp conversion — the long-form restoration arc.
Modular digital car gauges built from round ESP32 LCDs. Looks analogue, configurable in seconds, daisy-chained on RJ45. Going in the Cerbera dash.
Replacing the Cerbera's awkward throttle cable with a Raspberry Pi Pico, a stripped Bosch electronic throttle body, and closed-loop PID. Hardware safety, USB-tunable.
iOS app + Pi Pico bridge for the MBE 9A4 AJP8 ECU. Live diagnostics, data logging, GPS, gear indicator, and an Apple Watch companion for under-bonnet monitoring.
Smart bath system that draws to the perfect temp + depth, voice-controlled. ESP32 + flow + temperature sensors, with safety baked in.
Reviving an early-2000s Quake III vehicle-combat total conversion: fly planes and helicopters, drive tanks, fight on foot. Rebuilt from the 2006 source, headed for ioquake3 and the Steam Deck.
4.2 m × 2.8 m timber-frame office on an existing slab. Permitted-Development-compliant, full BOM auto-generated from a spec spreadsheet.
A Pi 5 and a £17 webcam counting every vehicle on a too-narrow residential road — AI detection, truck evidence photos, live dashboard. Council-grade data for under £120, free to download.
Workshop tools and developer tools — a parametric STL generator for polyurethane bushes, and a PowerBuilder 2025 extension for VS Code that drags PB into a modern editor.
