The Landostand, block by block

The Landostand is the big grandstand that curves around the outside of Stowe corner at Silverstone, looking back up the Hangar Straight into one of the best overtaking zones on the circuit. It is split into six blocks, numbered 1 to 6 from the Hangar Straight end round to Vale corner. Seats are numbered 1 to 698 continuously, left to right as you face the stand from the track, and rows run from A at the front (trackside) up to RR at the back.

BlockSeatsWhat it overlooks
Block 11–77The Hangar Straight — cars arriving flat-out. A stepped triangular block: seats 1–12 lowest, 13–32 up to Row U, 33–77 up to Row AA.
Block 278–182The Stowe braking zone — late braking and lock-ups. Flat at Row AA.
Block 3183–303Turn-in to the Stowe apex; steps up to full height (Row RR). One of the best vantage points.
Block 4304–417The Stowe apex and early exit — prime overtaking view, full height.
Block 5418–547The Stowe exit, onto the run toward Vale, full height.
Block 6548–698The largest block, nearest Vale corner — a long view down the exit.

Where are the best seats in the Landostand?

For the widest view of the braking zone and the apex, aim for Blocks 3 or 4, as high up as possible — Row AA or above. The stand is completely uncovered, so bring sun cream and a rain jacket whatever the forecast.

How are Landostand seats numbered?

Seat numbers increase from 1 at the Hangar Straight end to 698 at the Vale end, running continuously across all six blocks. Rows are lettered from the front: A, B, C … then AA, BB … up to RR at the very back. Blocks 1 and 2 are shorter and only reach about Row AA, while Blocks 3–6 rise to the full Row RR.

⚠ This is NOT an official Silverstone seating plan. It's an unofficial, fan-made guide put together from photos and bits of information found on the internet, so it may well contain mistakes. The six block ranges and Block 1's stagger come from a published plan; other details (the exact step rows in Block 3, the top row of seats 1–12, aisle widths and the precise curve) are estimated. Always check your own ticket and Silverstone's official information for your actual block, row and seat before relying on anything here.
